               If you are thinking to introduce solid food to your little one, which is healthy,nutritious and easy to prepare then here are the some easy recipes for your little one.Doctors usually recommend solid foods after 6 months to baby.
            There are few things you should keep in mind that before introducing solid food to your little one.

   - Check that baby dont get any allergy reaction after feeding food.Some food like peanuts,dairy products,wheat grain have allergic compounds.After introducing new food,stick with that same food for few days and check that if there is any changes.

   -When you feed new food,stick with that food for few days because baby needs to develop taste for that food.Initially baby will refuse food ,once taste is get developed they will eat.so dont force them to eat.

   -Avoid dairy products,wheat for at least 8 months which tend to gas in babies.

              Here are some healthy,delicious food recipes to feed to your little one-

For 4-6 months Babies-

Apple Puree-

Apple puree is commonly used as early food for babies as they are nutritious and easy to digest.
it can be enjoyed itself or you can mix up with other fruits or vegetables.

Ingredients-

-One cup Peeled ,diced Apple
-One cup water

How to Make-

-In a Pan Add diced Apple,water.Boil it thoroughly until they become soft.blend it with desired consistency.
-You can add apple with other fruits or veggies.

Banana Puree-

This is the most convenience food.as banana doesn't need to cook.you can carry it while travelling.and when baby is hungry simply peel banana,mash it and feed to baby.
It has Excellent source of nutrition and great first food to introduce in the age of 4-6 months.It contain Potassium,and fiber,also rich in Vitamin B6,B2 and Vitamin C.

How to make-

-In bowl take one ripe banana.smash it with fork.you can add water,Breast milk or Formula milk to get consistency.
-You can also Put banana in food blender.blend it till smooth puree.

Pear Puree-

Pear is one of the food which you can start after 6 months.Next to apple this is safest fruit to start with.

Ingredients-

-Pear peeled,Diced
-Water(Breast milk,Formula milk)

How To make-

-Wash the Pear,cut into Half,remove the skin and seeds.
-Cut into small cubs,Transfer into saucepan.add water.
-Heat it up.cook covered in low flame.cook for 4-7 min or till it become soft.
-Switch it off.coll down.transfer into mixer jar.Add formula milk or Breast milk and blend into smooth paste.

For 7 -9 Months Babies-

Sweet Potato Puree-

Ingredients-

-Sweet Potato
-Water
-Breast milk/Formula milk.

How to Make-

-Wash the Sweet Potato.Add Potato into saucepan filled with water.
-Cook the Potato until tender enough to break apart 1/2 with the fork.
-Once potato cooked use blender to get smooth paste of it.you can add formula milk or breast milk for desired consistency.


Pumpkin Puree-

Pumpkin has great Nutrition value.also rich in beta carotene.its a essential ingredients to keep your child healthy.It has anti-microbial properties that kill harmful germ in your little ones intestines. pumpkin helps to build great immune system of child.

Ingredients-

-Pumpkin
-Water
-Breast-milk/Formula Milk

How To Make-

-Boil some Water,add cut pieces of pumpkin.
-Cook pumpkin until tender.Drain the water and let it cool.
-After cooling you can smash it with blender or you can use mixer to get puree.
-For desired consistency you can add breast-milk or formula milk.

Carrot Puree-

Carrot is Good source of vitamin K.it helps to Blood clot properly.It also contain Vitamin B6 which is necessary for Hair,Eye,Skin and Liver health of Baby.

Ingredients-

-Carrot
-Water

How to Make-

-Wash the carrot,peel off the skin and chop into small pieces.
-Add small pieces of carrot into saucepan and water.boil it until it become soft.
-Once carrot soften you can use blender to make smooth paste of it.or you can transfer into mixer to make paste.
-Use a strainer and filter the water alone.press it nicely with the help of spoon so that juice is extracted completely.
-Feed immediately.

10-12 Months Babies

         Once you done with Smashing,pureeing,carefully introducing new food to your baby,making baby food now become easier.Now you able know that which food or fruit your baby like the most or which not.Also keep in mind that this is also time of Teething.so in this stage you can also introduce finger food which helps to soothe the gum of babies.
         You can give Carrots,cucumber into pieces,when they start to chew,this will helps to smooth gums in teething.here are some meal ideas-

Pumpkin Peas Meal-

Ingredients-

1/3 cup Pumpkin (Peeled,Chopped)
1/4 cup Peas (Peeled,Chopped)
 1 Tsp rice (rinsed)
 1 Tbsp Red lentils(masoor dal)

How to Make-

-Into sauce pan add chopped pumpkin,peas,rinsed rice and Red lentil ad water.
-Turn the heat to High,cover and bring it boil.
-When starts to boiling reduce the heat to low and cook for 18 min.
-Once ready.mash the meal when warm using back of flat spoon or you can use masher.
-If meal is too thick to swallow you can add some warm water to get desired consistency.

Rice Carrot Moong dal (Dal Khichdi)

Ingredients-

-1 Tsp-rice (rinsed)
-1 Tbsp-Moong dal
-1/2 cup Carrot(Chopped,Peeled)
-1/2 cup water

How to make

-In a sauce pan Add Rice,Moong dal,carrot and water.
-Cover and turn heat to high,bring it to boil.
-once it start boiling turn the heat to low and cook for 18 min.
-once cooked,mash it with back of spoon.
-and serve when its warm.

Cauliflower,Spinach,Pumpkin Meal

Ingredients-

1/3 cup cauliflower(finely chopped)
1/2 cup spinach (chopped)
1/4 cup Pumpkin (Chopped)
2 Tbsp rice
1/2 cup water.

How to make
-Into sauce pan Add above vegetables,rice and water
-Turn the to high and bring to boil.
-when it start to boil,turn heat to low and cook for 18-20 min
-once cooked,smash it and serve when its warm.

Potato,Carrot,Peas Meal-

Ingredients-

-1/3 cup Potato (Peeled & chopped)
-1/4 cup Carrot (peeled & chopped)
-1/4 cup Peas
-1 tsp rice
-1/2 cup water

Cauliflower,Sweet Potato,Rice dal Meal

Ingredients-

-1 tbs rice
-1 tbsp dal
-1/3 cup Cauliflower(finely chopped)
-1/3 cup sweet potato(Peeled & chopped)
-1/2 cup water.

How to Make-

-Into sauce pan Add finely chopped Cauliflower,finely chopped sweet potato,rice and water
-Turn the to high and bring to boil.
-when it start to boil,turn heat to low and cook for 18-20 min
-once cooked,smash it and serve when its warm.

   Other than this you can give crumbled eggs,chikko,finger food as a side with meal. Don't force to child to finish all meal.when it comes to your little one health,quality is more important than quantity of meal.so try to include various vegetables(Seasonal) in child's diet.
